Your Privacy Choices

You are in control of your data. Use the toggles below to manage how ModeAI uses your information, and submit a formal data request at any time.
Data Collection Preferences
Manage how ModeAI collects and uses data to personalize and improve your experience. Changes take effect immediately for new sessions. Some features may work differently when optional data collection is disabled.
Essential data
RequiredMinimum data required to operate your account, sync content, and process AI requests. This cannot be disabled while you have an active account.
Usage analytics
Helps us understand which features are most useful and how the app performs across different devices. Data is aggregated and anonymized.
Crash & diagnostic reports
Automatically sends anonymized crash reports so we can fix bugs faster. No personal content is included in these reports.
Personalized suggestions
Allows ModeAI to learn from your usage patterns to surface relevant prompts, styles, and features tailored to you.
Product communications
Receive emails about new features, tips, and ModeAI updates. You can also manage this directly from Settings > Notifications.
Apple App Tracking Transparency
ModeAI respects Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. If you previously denied tracking permission, your choice is honored and no cross-app tracking occurs.
- To review or change your tracking preference: open iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > ModeAI.
- We only request ATT permission for optional analytics features — denying it has no effect on core app functionality.
iCloud & Data Sync
If you have iCloud sync enabled, your ModeAI projects and settings sync across your Apple devices via your iCloud account, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- To disable iCloud sync: iPhone Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > ModeAI.
- Disabling iCloud sync keeps your data local to each device only.
On-Device AI
Switch to On-Device AI mode to run all AI inference locally on your iPhone. No data leaves your device in this mode.
- Enable it in: ModeAI > Settings > AI Mode > On-Device.
- On-Device mode requires iPhone 15 Pro or later with Apple Silicon.
- Local conversations are never uploaded to our servers regardless of your other privacy settings.
Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your ModeAI account and all associated data directly from the app. This action is irreversible.
- In the app: Settings > Account > Delete Account.
- Your data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days of your request.
- Backups are purged within 90 days.
- Any active subscriptions should be cancelled via Apple ID > Subscriptions before deleting your account.
